Privacy policy

What we collect

• Your mobile number, to sign you in with a one-time code.
• Your name, as you enter it in your profile.
• Birth details you give for a Kundli, matching or timing request: date, time, how certain the time is, and birth city. For matching, the same details for the second person.
• Palm photos of your left and right hands, if you ask for a palm reading. The app resizes them and removes hidden details, such as location, before uploading.
• Your questions and messages to Tara, and the readings and answers we send you.
• Purchase records: which product you bought, its order or purchase token, and your remaining balance. Card and bank details go to Google Play or Razorpay and never reach us.

We do not collect your device location, contacts, advertising ID or other files on your phone, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools.

How we use it

• To sign you in and keep your account secure.
• To review your requests and prepare your readings and answers.
• To check purchases with Google Play or Razorpay and keep your balance correct.
• To stop misuse, such as repeated free requests across accounts.

We never sell your data, and we never use your birth details, palm photos or messages for advertising.

Who can see it

Only our authorised team, to review your requests. We also rely on these service providers, each of which processes data only to provide its service to us:

• Twilio sends and checks your sign-in code, so it receives your mobile number.
• OpenAI and Anthropic help prepare readings once our team approves a request. They receive the details needed for that reading: birth details, palm photos or your question. Under their business terms they do not use this data to train their models.
• Google Play and Razorpay process payments.
• Render and Neon host our servers and database.

We share data with anyone else only if the law requires it.

How we protect it

All data travels over encrypted HTTPS connections. Palm photos can be opened only by you and our authorised team. On Android, your sign-in is stored with Android Keystore encryption.

How long we keep it

We keep your data while your account exists, so you can come back to your readings. When you delete your account, we remove it from our database immediately. Copies in our database backups are removed as those backups expire, within 30 days.

Google Play and Razorpay keep their own records of your payments, as the law requires them to.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account and all its data at any time in the app, under Profile → Delete my account, or by emailing us. See how to delete your account.

Advertising

Tara does not show ads today. If we add ads in future, we will update this policy first and say which ad provider we use and what it collects, such as your device’s advertising ID. Your birth details, palm photos and messages will never be used for ads.

Children

Tara is meant for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger. If you think a child has given us data, email us and we will delete it.

Your rights

You can see and correct your name and birth details in the app, and delete your account at any time. For a copy of your data, or any other privacy request, email vijayda9711@gmail.com. We reply within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top. For important changes, we will also tell you in the app.
