Share your birth date, time and city. Tara calculates your Vedic birth chart and, once our team has reviewed your request, prepares a detailed personal reading of around 2,000 words.

New members get 2 free Kundli readings.

In your reading

  • Ascendant, Sun, Moon and birth nakshatra
  • All nine grahas across twelve houses
  • Navamsa (D9) perspective
  • Your current Vimshottari dasha
  • Practical next steps

What your Kundli reading covers

Each reading is written from your calculated chart, and follows the same clear structure.

  • Your chart at a glance. Your ascendant (Lagna), Sun, Moon and birth nakshatra, and the main themes they point to.
  • All nine grahas. Sun, Moon, Mars, Mercury, Jupiter, Venus, Saturn, Rahu and Ketu, each with its role in your life, its placement, its supportive side, what needs care and practical guidance.
  • Extra depth on Saturn and Rahu. Shani’s themes of discipline and patience, and Rahu’s ambition and restlessness, read from their actual houses. Neither is treated as automatically bad.
  • Life areas. Career and learning, relationships and communication, home and family, resources, and habits and personal growth.
  • Challenges to work with. Difficult placements explained honestly, each with an everyday pattern to notice and a practical response.
  • Navamsa (D9) perspective. The traditional supplementary chart, read as context rather than a fixed verdict.
  • Current timing periods. Your Vimshottari mahadasha and antardasha, with their dates.
  • Your next steps. Four to six specific, affordable actions linked to your main themes.

What we calculate for your chart

Every reading starts from a calculated chart, not a template.

  • D1 (Rashi) birth chart and D9 (Navamsa) chart
  • The nine grahas in twelve whole-sign houses, with their sign lords
  • Nakshatra and pada for your ascendant and every graha
  • Your birth Panchang: tithi, paksha, yoga and karana
  • Vimshottari dasha periods from the Moon’s exact position in its nakshatra

Positions come from the Swiss Ephemeris, the high-precision astronomical library used by professional astrology software, with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, whole-sign houses and the mean lunar node.

Your birth city is chosen from nearly 70,000 places worldwide, and its historical time zone is applied for your actual date of birth, not today’s offset. That matters for older records and for places whose clocks have changed.

Transits, Sade Sati, Shadbala, Ashtakavarga and formal yoga or dosha scoring are not calculated in this version, so your reading will not claim them.

Why your birth time matters

The ascendant moves into a new sign roughly every two hours, and the Moon changes nakshatra about once a day. Your houses, Navamsa and dasha dates all depend on an accurate time, so use the time on your birth certificate or hospital record if you can.

If you only know an approximate time, mark it as approximate: your reading will say which parts could change. If you don’t know it at all, mark it unknown. We never quietly fill in noon or midnight; our team follows up with you instead of inventing an ascendant.

How it works

  1. Share your birth details

Your date of birth, birth time as recorded, and birth city. Search for your city by name; older names such as Bombay and Bangalore work too.

  2. We review your request

Our team checks every request first. If a birth detail or photo is unclear, we ask you rather than guess.

  3. Your reading is ready

A detailed, personal reading, saved in your account. Our target is two hours, and you can follow its progress in the app.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Kundli reading free?

Every new member gets two free Kundli readings. After that you can buy single readings or a pack of three in the app, with the price shown before you pay. Another reading with exactly the same birth details uses a paid credit.

What if I don’t know my exact birth time?

Mark it as approximate or unknown when you make your request. Tara never substitutes a made-up time. With an approximate time, your reading explains which parts, such as the ascendant, houses and dasha dates, could change. With an unknown time, our team follows up with you first.

Which ayanamsa and house system does Tara use?

The Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsa, whole-sign houses and the mean lunar node, calculated with the Swiss Ephemeris. Tools that use different settings can legitimately show a different chart.

How long does it take to get my Kundli reading?

Our team reviews your request first, then your reading is prepared. Our target is two hours, and you can follow its progress in the app.

Does the reading include doshas, Sade Sati or remedies?

Tara reports only what was actually calculated. Sade Sati, transits, yogas and formal dosha scoring are not calculated in the current version, so your reading will not claim them. It does end with practical, affordable next steps.

Can a Kundli predict exact events?

No. A Kundli is a traditional framework for reflection. Your reading explains themes and tendencies, not guaranteed events, and it is not a substitute for professional advice.
